A QUICK RECAP

Five years have quickly passed since the Believers Together Community Center opened its doors in 2002. In that time, many have experienced the blessings of a Cursillo weekend, many young people have shared the joy of a, "Teens Encounter Christ" weekend, and the Christ the King community has been blessed by memorable parish events. The three organizations have grown together in a true spirity of community, made possible byt he presence of the beautiful facilites in the Believers Together Community Center and by the faith of the people who have continuously supported it.

Through the generosity of those who originally pledged, those who continued with the “House Payment Plan”, and those who contributed to specific fundraisers such as the Snow Ball and the Basket Raffles, the original construction cost of approximately $3.3 million has been reduced to the current mortgage balance of approximately $1.1 million.

So much good has been done at the Believers Together Center, and there is so much more that is yet to be done. With this in mind, our communities of Christ the King Parish, Cursillo, and TEC, Believers Together, refocus our efforts and renew our commitment to provide this legacy for the future. This phase of our fundraising effort seeks to re-energize the, "House Payment Plan," into a major capital campaign. The result will be to retire the existing debt owed to the Diocese and provide a nest egg or the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of hte Believers Together Center.

The basic concept of the, "House Payment Plan" is for each member of Believers Together to budget a regular payment amount that will payoff the loan balance that remains on the Believers Together Community Center. The sooner the mortgage on the facility is paid in full, the less money we will spend on interest servicing the mortage, over $5,000 per month at present.

Your contribution and participation are vital to the continuing success of the Believers Together Community Center.

In re-energizing the, "House Payment Plan" we ask that you prayerfully consider a periodic payment to Believers Together. First, to reduce the $1.1 million debt and second for on going support of the wonderful community center.
